A double room with twin beds and a shower down the hall cost 39 euro in September 2005. The en-suite option costs a bit more. Their website has a full rundown on prices, plus you can contact them through the site to make a booking.
Downstairs and at the front is a traditional (and very kitsch) Bavarian restaurant where breakfast is served. The decor hasn't been updated since about 1963 and we thought it was fab.
A filling, wholesome breakfast buffet (bread, cereal, juice, tea, coffee, cheese, cold cuts and boiled eggs) is included in the room price. Most of the staff speak English and were quite friendly.
There are several cafes, taverns and kebab places on the street leading up to the hotel but it is a quiet neighbourhood without much traffic. It is a bit of a trail from the station (about a 20-minute walk) although trams stop up the hill at the Rathausplatz, a 5-minute walk away.
