Summer Breeze Open Air
by Elena77
If you're travelling to Dinkelsbühl in Summer and you're not into Heavy Metal music, do avoid the 3rd weekend in August. That's when the annual Summer Breeze Open Air does take place. It's a pretty large event and it might affect your stay. The average number of this festival's visitors is around 40,000. Many of them will be staying at the festival camp ground. But still lots and lots of Heavy Metal fans will be in and around Dinkelsbühl that weekend which means that most hotels might be fully booked and/ or are raising their prices for this event.
Almshouse
by codrutz
Actually this picture is taken from the front of the house, meaning from the main street. The features photos and the facade of the Almshouse is on the back of the house, because this was the Church of the Holy Ghost, built in 1380, renewed in 1500. The enclosed three-winged building was used as an almshouse.
Dinkelsbühl, Germany

"Dinkelsbühl"
Dinkelsbuhl is a compelling stop along Germany's romantic road.
Called a "little Rothenburg" by some travelers, it is far less touristy
than the well-know city on the Tauber.
This is a "must to see" little town if you are in the area ....

"Old Cobble Stone Streets"
A typical street scene, this one in Dinkelsbuhl.
Dinkelsbuhl itself dates back to the 7th centruy,
and its cobblestone streets and many of its houses
date back to the 15th century ......

"Historical Little Houses"
Dinkelsbuhl is also an example of a historical
old town with gateways, towers, walls, and moats.
It was interesting to walk around both inside and
outside the wall ......
