The castle-square in front of...
The castle-square in front of the castle.
It is divided into the castle-square and the market-square, where local foods are sold everyday exept Sunday. Next to the square there's also the town's library. It is in the 'Palais Stuttenheim' that was build in 1728. Until 1971 it served as town-hall.
The square has also a bad history... the place where the Nazis burnt the books of jewish authors, like everywhere in Germany, is marked on the ground (in front of the statue!).
