 The hotel is located in an older tenement building which makes for different shaped rooms, high ceilings and old fashion cast iron radiators. So depending on your point of view you can say the hotel has lots of character. I stayed in a single room and though it only had a single bed you could say it was compact. The en-suite had the usual facilities but because of space only had a shower curtain so this could make for wet floors. I had a room at the back of the hotel so there was no traffic noise. The room was cleaned daily and the towels changed. Any incoming phone calls had to go via the hotel switchboard but this did not present too many problems. You are allowed to retain your room keys as sometimes the front door of the hotel is closed in the afternoons. The breakfast was the usual the European fare with cereals, meats, rolls, fruit, yoghurt and boiled eggs with an individual pot of strong coffee. I stayed at the hotel for 7 days and the breakfast can become monotonous after a while. Because the breakfast room is also the restaurant it never felt crowded. Some of the reception staff speak good English and are happy to chat to you, time permitting. I never tried the restaurant so can not comment on the quality of food served and this was probably a mistake on my part. The hotel is located in Fürth and is about 10 minutes walk from the main station railway station in Fürth. I chose the hotel because it had an attractive price compared to other hotels in the area.
