Breakfast was buffet style and there was plenty of choice but the restaurant at night was really good. They feature local dishes and even name their butcher etc., a nice touch.
The rooms were a nice size and we had one on the park side with a delightful balcony though, as it was winter, we didn't spend a lot of time there.
Rooms were cleaned and towels changed daily.
My only complaint is that, just like in every German place I've ever stayed, they don't have any tea making facilities in the room.
The internet is available but at a cost. From memory it is 5 euros per hour.
They have sauna facilities and such downstairs though I didn't have occasion to use them.
I would recommend you request a room with a park view as the one I saw at the back wasn't anywhere near as good.
I would definitely stay here again.
The thing I really liked was its location. It's situated right on a nice little park near a ski jump, tennis courts and children's play area.
I also liked the short walk into town past some of the best of Fussen, especially the last part alongside the river Lech.
I liked the way they had sought out some of the best local produce for their restaurant and had a chef who knew how to cook it.
Another thing I loved was the bird feeding station. Every morning I would step onto the balcony and watch as the pecking order took place. I saw five different species of birds but this was very early spring so I imagine you would be able to view more later on.
As a suggestion to the owners - perhaps it would be better to have breakfast in the restaurant instead of the back breakfast room. That way you could sit and watch it all happen.
