Wonderfully central location!
This was a great choice for our weekend in Garmisch-Partenkirchen. Having never been there before, I went by the recommendations of others (online) that I did not know.
We had the family sized room on the top floor - private balcony with a gorgeous view! Lower floors don't have balconies and don't have the view since they are looking at other buildings. Warning though: there is no elevator/lift so this floor is not for those that can't handle four flights of stairs.
The hotel manager was super friendly, full of advice and guidance to those of us who were looking for a good place to eat or how to get to the train station. The breakfast hostess was equally as pleasant! No complaints on the hospitality for sure!
Breakfast came with the room and it was a typical German breakfast with baskets of bread, cereals, yogurts, fruits, and hot foods. Tasted great!
It was within walking distance to just about everything - in the center of town and not too far from the train station that takes you to the Zugspitze.
I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone that is looking!
Unique Quality: Great views - especially in the mornings when the sun is coming up. I liked the gummi bears on my pillow after they made up the room :-)

Almenrausch und Edelweiss
Very friendly staff in this hotel that really goes out of their way to assist you even if you are not a resident. We stayed just behind the hotel, but I popped in to see what it was like. Very nice indeed.
