Great Hotel in Garmisch
Great hotel with a wonderful view. Rooms were superior to anything I had the 3 weeks I was in Europe. Bathrooms were spotless. Employees were very courteous. Breakfast was excellent. The only thing I could not get used to were the pillows. They were too soft for me. I think many Americans might think the same, but it was a minor inconvenience.
Unique Quality: I don't remember how much time I spent in the morning on my balcony taking in the view. Magnificent!!!

Hotel with moutain view
HI
I plan to visit the castles (Linderhof and Neuschwanstein), the Zugspite, Ettal, Oberamergau and Aschau. I am looking for a 4 or 5 star hotel in the mountains WITH A SPECTACULAR VIEW OVER THE MOUNTAINS. Any advice?

The town of Garmisch-Partenkirchen is central to all the places you wish to visit, if you google tourismus Garmisch you will be able to select Hotels. Will you have a car? I believe there are Hotels with fabulous views ouside the town of Garmisch but you would need a vehicle. I always stay in the town itself and you are surrounded by the Alps so I find the views are lovely anyway. Look at my Garmisch page for apartment or Hotel, I can recommend staying here, it is very popular with German holidaymakers, lots of places to eat and lots of places to visit nearby.
