flag-artists at LaHo
by globetrott
Watching these flag-artists at the camp of Landshuter Hochzeit and during the big wedding-parade was really great fun. It was always the best moment, when they threw the big flags up in the air and caught it again themselves or sometimes threw them towards other participants, who caught them simultaneously in a great spectacle. I did not see any mistake or any flag falling on earth ... All of these people have ordinary jobs, and throwing these flags is just a hobby, but it looks like they are professionals doing nothing else than this.
the participants seem to have the greatest fun

The participants of Landshuter Hochzeit seem to have the greatest fun posing for your pics, they will always smile and will be very friendly. In General you do not have to pay anything when seeing them in the streets, you only pay for the seats at the big parades on saturday and sunday, standing-places along the streets are free of charge and it is recommended to take with you a ladder or something else to step on for a better view. Also the musicians in their great traditional costumes will play in the streets all day long and will end with a nice shouting of HELLO...
....the audience will also shout hello and you never will be able nor ever asked to throw money into a box for the musicians, you may just attend them and enjoy the great music by the traditional instruments.
Thekla Kapelle - on your way to the castle
by globetrott
Alte Bergstrasse in the north of the city of Landshut is the best way to step up to the castle Trausnitz and at the place, where you leave the ordinary street and continue with hundreds of steps you may see a small church with a really beautiful interior :
Thekla Kapelle dates back to the year 1426 and is a neo-gothic construction outside. Inside it was redecorated in baroque-style by Wilhelm von Neufraunhofen in 1759.
The church-door is open during the day and you may look through an iron-fence .
