Lighthouse and Lion and sunset
Walking along the promenade of the Harbour you can see the nice Mangturm, one of the best known monument of the town. It was built in 1200 as watch tower of the medieval fortifications of the town. Following it became a lighthouse. During the 19th century was added a steeple cover of green and yellow tiles.
Stayed in Lindau for three nights with a couple of friends. Beautiful setting on the Bodensee, weather was sunny and warm all the time we were there , we had an excellent time.
Here's what we did.
Had an hour wait changing trains on a snowy January 2007 morning and couldn,t resist a short walk around, a few photos to add.
Everywhere looked so different in winter, maybe even prettier?

Q: boats to Switzerland "Are there boat trips from Lindau to the Swiss side of Bodensee? If so, do they run on weekdays this early in the season?"
A: "Hi, the boats to Rorschach already operate from April 30 (twice a day), though more frequent (up to 5 times on weekdays) after 27 May...."
