1 Night in Lindau
Lindau was one stop in a weekend trip going right around Bodensee (Lake Constance). Click the Europe page for details.
I arrived late by train from Feldkirch, Austria and had booked no hotel. I had to practice my "Haben Sie ein Zimmer frei?" line seven times before I found a room. This is a very pleasant town to walk around. It was hazy out on the lake and I couldn't see the Alps on the other side, although the camera managed to pick them up in the photo above.
I then took a train to Friedrichshafen.
