My partner and I are landing in Munich on December 15th. We want to know what the must sees are and how many days we need there before we move on to other parts of Europe? Also where is the best area to stay?

The Christmas Markets are very nice. Then of course you have some very good museums in Munich, the Deutsche Museum especially is worth a visit if you're interested in science.

I stayed at the Europäische Hof hotel, right next to the train station, and liked it. Keep in mind that you won't have much daylight in December, roughly from 9 to 4, and that the weather can be cold and very wet, so I wouldn't recommend staying outside the city centre.You may want to go back to your hotel during the day to change.
Munich is the capital of Bavaria, the third largest city in Germany and a noted artistic and cultural center. The life of the town is concentrated in the Marieplatz on one side of which is the New Town Hall with its famous Glockenspiel; at eleven o’clock every morning enameled copper figures emerge and go through the rituals of a miniature tournament.
Take a stroll down the Marienplatz. As much of a tourist trap as it seems, we enjoyed watching the clock tower when it struck the hour. I'm not sure I can explain it, but this is a 10-minute event. The clock chimes a song while life-sized figures spin around in the center of the tower. I've heard that someone had the opportunity to actually ride on one of the mechanical horses, just like a merry-go-round, but that could have been a rumor.
To be honest, I don't even know the name of this building. I want to say it was the Glockenschpiel -- I know that must be misspelled (someone please tell me the real spelling). But I can't be sure what it was called. I just know it was a great site to see. The picture is of the back of the tower.
Be sure you are aware of store hours in case you find you need something urgent - in my case this was sunscreen on a very hot and sunny day. Most stores close at 5 PM and aren't open on Sundays - maybe even Saturdays?
You can sometimes find a gas station that will sell staples like snacks and some personal care items.
During Christmas time the center of Munich becomes one big Christmas market with many stand selling christmassy gifts, foods and drinks.
There are many other Christmas markets in Munich, like in Haidhausen, Schwabing or Neuhausen.
The Me 262 was the world's first operational jet fighter. It was also the best of its generation, with an advanced aerodynamic design. Its development was much delayed, and the Me 262 arrived too late to influence the end of WWII. The few Me 262 used in combat demonstrated their clear superiority, but were unable achieve much more. Around 1430 built.
