Hotel Bavaria is a very clean family run hotel within walking distance to the Oktoberfest grounds and the city rail system. It's situated on Gollierstrasse (my spelling may be off) which is a quiet street in the center of Munich. The bar serves great German beer and the breakfast in the hotel restaurant has a nice variety of cheeses, meats and breads. Tours can be arranged thru the hotel to Salzburg, Neuschwanstein, Garmisch, or other city tours. My room had a private bathroom, cable television, minibar, direct-dial telephone, umbrella, hairdryer, and computer access. Ask the desk for directions to the Augustiner, an amazing little Bavarian restaurant that had some of the best Bavarian Duck, for the price, I have ever had. Over all I was pleased with the hotel, but, the rooms are very European in size. This may take some getting use to for American travelers that have not traveled internationally as much. (Basically I'm saying that they are a little small but still quite comfortable.)
