Nice location and Hotel
I picked this Hotel in part because it is right across from the Train Station where the Train from the Airport drops you off. It is also just outside the city center and right next to the S Subway.
Very clean and quiet despite being on a main road -- rooms are pretty much soundproof with the window closed. Staff was pretty helpful. Good breakfast and nice Restaurant.
Stayed there during Oktoberfest, price was moderate -- 188 Euros per night. Might be cheaper at other times of the year.

Hotel with Great Accessibility
The Eden Wolfe Hotel was perfect. Located directly across from the train station, we could get anywhere very easily using Hauptbahnhof. My two teenagers and I each had a twin bed in the room. The room was not very large but we didn't spend much time in it so it was fine. Certainly comfortable. The front desk folks were helpful and spoke English. There was also a very good restaurant in the hotel with good food and nice atmosphere (linens, fresh flowers, silver). I would stay there again.
Unique Quality: The location for this hotel was great with easy access to U-bahn, S-bahn and Hauptbahnhof. Most attractions were also within walking distance.

solo woman
I am a 50+ woman traveling solo to Munich (my choice). I will be staying at the Eden Hotel Wolff (across from the Hauptbahnhoff). I am thinking of taking the Munich by night tour, offered by Grayline. My concern is the safety around the train station at 12:30 AM. The bus will drop me off at Herties.
Will I encounter any problems at 12:30 AM.

Munich is a safe place, also at night. You shouldn't be worried.

Munich is one of the safest big cities on this planet. Of course things happen there too, but not much. No need to worry.
