is there any site where I can check in advance for pop/rock/metal concerts in Munich? I'm interested about march 2011.
I found the calendar for events for Munich, but it's in German. When I clicked on the English symbol, I got taken to the main tourist information for Munich.
Back to the German version, I clicked on März - March - and read the heading März 2010. The events, concerts etc shown on the page are for March 2011, however.
So maybe this will help you after all.

The one hour trip gives you a good overview of the main landmarks of Munich.

In the Sendlingerstrasse you can enjoy Asamkirche. The church was built and decorated by Asam brothers who got house in the area in 1729 and in 1733-1746 built this wonderful church. Though it looks not impressive outside maybe but you should see the interior.
A lot of museums can be visited: e.g. the old & new Pinakothek (gallery), House of Arts, Glyptothek (greek / roman plastiques & figures), egyptian, etc.

There is a tiny off-shoot of the Englischer Garten that has a hidden treasure of two. Located behind the Prinz-Carl-Palais and between the Hofgarten and the Englischer Garten, this garden seems almost forgotten. We didn't meet anyone else in the garden while we wandered about.
It's small, but it makes for a pleasant way to cut through to the other side. With sloping paths, and lots of boulders, trees, a turns, the Finanzgarten hides one of the more interesting memorials/tributes I've seen.
We encountered this crypt-like tribute to Heinrich Heine on our way out of the Finanzgarten. It's behind a locked gate, but it is definitely an interesting piece of art. It's on the edge of the garden, just off a path. Look for it!
