Convenient

We were in Munich for 6 days and had a lovely time. The Hotel is well connected from the airport as the Metro station is beneath the hotel. The staff are very friendly and the breakfast in the "Spices" restaurant has a great spread. The rooms are not big but perfect for a good nights sleep.Good housekeeping ensured the rooms and bathrooms were clean by the time we gat back. The Central station and the heart of Munich is only 4 stations away (about 12 minutes) and is convenient for all excursions one intends to do. The information and ticketing desk at the Central station is very helpful and one can get great deals and advise if you intend to travel by train and on your own.The Subway restaurant below the hotel is open till late and gives you an option on fresh healthy food in addition to the numerous bakeries in the area.
Good Location Even If No Car!

We arrived to Munich at the central train station. Asked around and found out how easy it was to go to this Holiday Inn!!
Basically we just tooked a U-bahn (underground) from the central train station to Rosenheimer Platz and there, the station has walking direction (in the underground) for you to walk to the hotel.
The hotel is within walking distance to the nearby attractions. Good service, modern and clean room. We loved it there!
close to shopping

This hotel is 3 star. It's convenient to shopping and restaurants. AC is a relief on a hot, summer day. Rooms are small, but well equipped: has an ironing board and mini bar. Breakfast buffet is good with hot and cold foods. Dinner is good with some regional dishes.
Easy location & great hotel

My husband & I chose to stay at this hotel after reading all the hotel reviews for central Munich. We were so happy that we did because it was outstanding. First of all, it is located just above a small shopping concourse with direct access to Munich's fabulous, easy-to-use public transport system. That meant when we arrived at the airport we went to the S-Bahn ticket booth & bought a week-long pass for two (plus an extra ticket each because the airport is outside the zones). The pass allowed us unlimited use of S-Bahn trains, U-Bahn subways, trams & buses without having to validate tickets so we could come & go as we pleased right to the doorstep of the hotel. It was only 2 stops from Marienplatz where the Glockenspiel is located.
The shopping concourse has bakeries, fast food, liquor and grocery/toiletries stores, clothing, cash machines and an internet cafe. The hotel had a very helpful and friendly staff. The rooms were done to the highest standard with individually-controlled heat/air conditioning. Also some good energy-saving devices like the a/c turns off when you open the windows and also you must put your room entry card into a wall slot when in the room to have the lights come on and thus no lights get left on when you go out & take your card.
The beds were very comfortable and there was a choice available of different pillows(soft, feather to firm synthetic). Also, they happily provided a sheet as well as the usual duvet only that is common in Germany. We had a delicious room service meal one night which came promptly too. Finally, the breakfast buffet is worth every penny you pay. It had absolutely everything you'd ever want and more. Fresh fruit juices, fresh-cut fruits, yogurt, cereals, rolls, breads, pastries, eggs, bacon, sausage, cold cuts, smoked salmon & other fish, cheeses, and all the tea, coffee or hot chocolate you wanted. It was really a huge spread and would set you up for a day's sightseeing. Also, there were plenty of healthy choices for the really conscientious travellers.
We really enjoyed our stay here & would definitely return there again.
