Centrally located
A double room with a queen-size bed like shown in the photo was 210 DEM (slightly less than $100)/night in August, 2001.
Once you step into your unit, it is the hallway which connects the bed room with the bathroom. There is a table and a big mirror at the hall way.

We found this small hotel from D.K.'s book 'Great Places to Stay in Europe'.
Walking distance to the Deutsches Museum, the largest technology museum in the world, and to the old down center.
The hotel is full of antique furniture, yet some parts are run down.
Tram stop is right in front of the hotel, you can take it to the old town center, or even to the Nymphenburg Schloss.
No elevators, be prepared to carry your luggage to your room, or the staff could help.
