hostel in the center of Munich
It is really very good hostel. It has very many advantages. The hostel is situated in the hart of the city. It is cheaper than hostel next door (euro-youth-hotel). Free breakfast (tea, coffee, toast, jam). No curfew. Free access to the Internet. Shower inside of the room (we took 4 bads in room for 6 persons). The only minus it is parking. We came to the hostel at night and it was really hard to find parking.
One night cost 15.5euro.

easiest hostel to find from the train station
this place is a stone's throw from the central station.....a luxury for the tired english speaking traveler. it's clean and only $13 or so a night. hostels are perfect for the backpacker who plans to spend the day outside and who uses the room only to sleep in. the front desk help are friendly, and there's a loungy lobby and bar area where you can kick back and watch anything from world politics to sports to semi-soft porn (included whether you like it or not).
within 5-10 minute walk to all major attractions including the hofbrauhaus.

cheap accommodations
this large hostel is easy to find from the main hauptbanhof and it is situated in the center of town, walking distance from all the nearest attractions. it is clean, and the staff is very helpful. there are enough tables and chairs down on the lobby level so you could have a good sized party with friends with a little booze before going out for an all nighter. there are exchange windows and many restaurants, drug stores and transportation closeby.
