Hotel near the trade fair
We recently had a weekend conference here at the Prinzregent Hotel.
The conference room was fine, as were the hotel rooms, but they had the same problem that a lot of these conference hotels have, namely that when several groups are meeting there at once they simply cannot get their act together in the kitchen, and it takes hours for everybody's meal to be served. This messed up our conference schedule somewhat, and I really don't know why this keeps happening. We had all made our choices two or three hours in advance, and you'd think a professional hotel kitchen staff would be able to get a few dozen meals out on time, but no....
I personally found the food rather heavy and starchy, but my German colleagues didn't seem to mind this. (I've only been living in Germany for thirty-six years this time, but I'm starting to get used to it.)
To get here from the main station, I took the S2 in the direction of Erding and got off at Riem. It's only a short walk from there. One of my young colleagues who lives in Schwabing came out here by bicycle, which was fine, but hers was the only bicycle in the whole parking lot.
