Strategic location

Despite of this is not surely one of the best hotels here it has a quite good general quality. Rooms were not really new and needed some updating but were comfortable and clean. Service is as polite as you may need and you get most of usual services. The very best is its key placement. At the reception you get a lot of information to move and travel around.

As cons: it has only one internet free point -impossible to get it empty- and breakfast service is not really prepared for a 100% occupation: One morning we had to wait about for a new hall to be prepared for us for the usual one was crowded and juice, fruits, coffee, etc. had to be supplied.

Unique Quality: Strategicaly located, just off Hauptbanhof. From here you may move everywhere in Munich for you have quick access to U-bahn, S-bahn, trains and trams. And in the nearby is where many tour buses stop to take you to/from Baviera excursions. You have internet points, shops, cafes, restaurants, etc.

At the hotel reception you may get a lot of information, leaflets, maps and book immediately tours for Munich and Baviera.

Very nice refreshing stay! ( Airport hotel area)

Very cozy place to stay...rooms ( not sure if they all are or just some of them) are above the restaurant area, so its very convenient when coming down for breakst next day or if you eat here in evening, you can just to right to your room. Room was small but it was comfortable. No AC in room but didnt need any, it was a nice evening....opened window and slept very well.

Unique Quality: cozy little village area hotel......airport shuttle is 6 euros..
This hotel is in a little village called Hallgermoos. Its an airport hotel, but not right at airport. Its a short shuttle ride but its nice because its in a cute village. Hotel looks more like a B&B than a hotel! to the left is restaurant and the rooms above restaurant ( where i stayed). THere are probably rooms in the main building as well.

Only small negative was the bartender was rude when i asked for a taller glass. I wanted to pour a big glass of water after having traveled for hours and hours that day. She insisted i use the tiny glass from the bathroom of my room. That was pretty rude, what did she think i was going to do, steal the ugly glass from the bar? sometimes these people forget if it were not for the guests, they wouldnt have jobs..

What a surprise

We booked this hotel upon arrival at the Airport and were given some really good directions. At the hotel, the nice lady behind the desk spoke good English and checked us in after a brief wait, since we were there before the room was cleaned. The young lady also got me oriented and showed us how to get into Munich via the train. We liked this place so much that we stayed on our way out of the country also.

Unique Quality: All the hotel employees were helpful and friendly!

Business Hotel Close to the Hauptbahnhof

The Regent was a last minute stay for me - hadn't expected to be in Munich for the night. I chose it for it's close location to the Hauptbahnhof, the main train station, as I had an early morning train to catch.

I paid 120E for a single, which wasn't exactly a bargain - but less than the advertised 146E rack rate. (Still if I had known a day ahead of time, I could have gotten it for 80E.)

The room was fine - though I now notice in the photo the ugly grease stain in the bed's headboard, from the hundreds of heads that have rested there. Eeeeuuuuuwww!

(And how did I NOT notice that plastic bag on the floor when I took this photo?)

The rug was badly stained (someone worked hard to try to get it out, so that now the rug is stained AND faded), but other than that, the room was fine. The bath was nice though small, with new fixtures and a good shower. There was a separate room for the toilet. It was very quiet.

Breakfast was particularly good: a lovely and tasty buffet: breads, cereals, juices, hot dishes, meats, cheeses, fresh fruit. A large carafe of wonderfully strong coffee was set on each table by the 6:30 opening time.

However, one thing about the hotel shocked me. If you have children, be forewarned.

Returning around 11 from dinner, I turned on the tv and started flipping through the channels. Without selecting "adult" content or anything like that, I saw at least three channels that were (to be polite) extremely sexually explicit. (Maybe this stuff is only on late at night?)

Unique Quality: Very good buffet breakfast, and they start early - 6:30 - even on the weekend.

Comfortable Hotel Close to Train Station

I found this to be a very comfortable, centrally located hotel. My handicap room was very spacious with an excellent bathroom. Very good mattresses, I slept very well.
