Location:
Not bad, its about 10 to 15 minutes by walk from the Hauptbahnhof (central station) or 1 stop away on the metro located about 3 minutes walk from the hotel. Its a quite area, located next to plenty of Asian/Arabic grocery stores and restaurants.
Hotel Staff:
Im not the kind that waits for smiles/hellos from staff (but it would be nice) but \i do expect courteous replies when we ask for directions or suggestions. Just really dry staff, and I do have the authority to judge this because we stayed 8 nights, so we met all of the staff who workeds (both day and night shifts).
Hotel interior:
Rather new but not really nice, just convenient.
Rooms are not so nice. Double beds are actually two singles pushed together (so yes you legs/arms will fall between the 2 matteresses since each bed/matress is wrapped by its own bed sheet).
Rooms were plenty dusty!!! That was probably what turned us off the most. My wife had to literally dust it herself.
Furniture and carpet were already aged (probably due to negligence from the cleaning staff - theory obvious due to the blatant dust all over the place).
Bathroom was ok, really clean!
Hotel service:
Dusty!!
Apparently not all rooms have safes. He said that not all rooms have safes, only the business rooms. Thats not cool.
They will service your room even if you hang the DO NOT DISTURB sign on the door. They did that 4 days in a row even though I complained each following day.
The rooms were bare, no brochures.
Bathrooms didnt have any accessories except a tube of handwash (installed on the wall) and a shampoo/body soap combination tube also hanging/attached to the wall.
Breakfast Buffet:
Acceptable. There was plenty of pork sausages, breads, jams, fruits, egg, croissants and boxed juice.
You had to squeeze the oranges yourself on a device probably made in 1970.
Overall we were not impressed and will definitely not stay at any TRYP hotels.
