I booked one of the deluxe rooms at the Hotel Wallis. It was pretty small, but had obviously had a recent face lift. The furniture was very modern and new; as well as the bathroom. I thought I had booked two beds, but the room was only equipped with one. When we tried to call down to request a new room, they told us that they only had one room with two beds, and it was booked. If you are looking for that type of accomodation, you might need to look elsewhere. The staff was friendly, and we enjoyed the buffet breakfast. They do advertise bathrobes, and slippers in the deluxe room, and you can probably pass on those. The robes were the saddest, most thread bare things I had ever seen in my life. We had a good laugh about it. The hotel was in a great location, and was very reasonably priced so we didn't dwell on the small stuff, and enjoyed the rest of our stay.

What a night of the 11th August of the year 2000! We could'nt sleep waiting anxiously for the morning to get up and pick our luggages and head to the airport. It was our first time to go on a holiday with our kids and now you reader can understand why the sleepless night!!!We arrived in Munich and lodged at Hotel Wallis very centrally. In the evening we went to the Hofbrauhaus where we had fun and drank beer with so many other tourists like us. Anyway must specify.....most of them were drunken tourists so it meant extra entertainment .We went again the next day considering that only God knows when we will be able to go again. So knowing being there that day and tomorrow who knows, we went again to enjoy the brass band all dressed up in their bavarian costume and yes more BEER.
