Hi Will be in Munich this weekend, arrive saturday morning leave monday night.
Will do a bit of sight seeing saturday afternoon and visit the beer halls and christmas markets.
On sunday we would like to visit Neuschwanstein Castle.
Could you advise the best way to get there... prefrebly by public transport I am a big a tourist as you can get but I hate the GreyLine trye tours.
My friend told me about a Bavaria card were me and my partner can travel anywhere in Bavaria for €28 is this available to get here.

Bavaria Ticket (Bayern Ticket) is a mini group (2-5 persons) day ticket for EUR 28,00. It covers the regional trains to Füssen, the buses from Füssen to Hohenschwangau. And also the S-Bahn, U-Bahn, trams and buses in Munich. You can buy it on spot from ticket machines. Or for EUR 2,00 more also at the counter.

I did this same trip a few years back. The train will carry you to Fussen and then it is a very quick bus ride over to the castle. If you like good beer and interesting places to drink beer try the little bar located at the Fussen train station. Very small train station and even smaller bar but great beer and a very good place to people watch.

Drink a draft beer! You surely would have seen the huge Hofbrau house and October Festival!! Stroll around city center. There are so many nice outside cafes and beautiful buildings.

Just not to be too much off ropic I say that the suggestion is: warm clothes!!!!

This amazing and rare building is that kind of jewels you can only see in this part of the world. Finding a single example of original modernist or art-nouveau building is difficult itself so coming into this villa-museum is an exclusive opportunity to be in contact with one of the most interesting art era ever.
It was made by artist Frank von Stuck by end of XIXth century as a home and exhibition and cultural place. The furnitures made for this house won a gold medal in Paris world's fair in 1900. After death of Stuck the mansion began a low decadence until the sixties when it was restored as original.
This villa is a whole treasure: from the vestibule to the Receiving room, from the Music saloon to the Studio, decoration is astounding and the golden ornaments, wall and ceiling modernist pictures are a superb example of fantastic Munich art-nouveau. This space, as in former times, is the ideal frame for art exhibitions so visiting the building you will also find along the modernist Stuck-designed furnitures and decoration, art pieces of modern artists.
