Ferienwohnungen Haus Gertrud: Staying right on the border

We rented an apartment in Bayrisch Gmain, right on the border between Austria and Germany. It was the second time we stayed there and certainly not the last time. Our apartment had two bedrooms,a living-room, a fully equipped kitchen and a nice bathroom.
There are bikes if you want to do a bike tour, a coin operated washing machine and a dryer.
The apartments are usually rented from Saturday to Saturday, but the first time we were there it was off-season and we were able to rent for just a few days.
Very friendly and helpful owners, who live in Bad Reichenhall.
The house has its own parking lot and the bus stop is right in front of it. You can take the bus to Salzburg. By car to Salzburg: It took us 25 minutes from parking lot to parking lot the first time and that included getting lost in the old part of Salzburg.
I think this is a very good alternative to the expensive places in Salzburg, especially during the festival, when most hotels are fully booked.

In the morning I walked to Austria to get fresh rolls for breakfast, as it was about 20 meters to the border. The border consists of two signs, one saying "Germany" and the other saying "Austria". I went to church in Austria and did cross-country jogging each morning.

We paid 50 Euro a day, including the local tax. I think that's a very good price.
