The Best of Neu-Ulm... ;-)))
Every child in Ulm learns early what the best of Neu-Ulm is. It is the view of Ulm ;-))) And really! It is true!! As you will see in the photos of my travelogue, you do not even need a telescope to find this out. On the contrary. You just stroll down the walkway along the Danube (Donau) on the Neu-Ulm side, and you get the best view of Ulm you can get, with the Cathedral, Metzgerturm (Butchers' Tower), the city wall, Town Hall and the pyramid of the City Library as the highlights of the spectacular panorama.
If you are too lazy to walk, just take the car to Edwin-Scharff-Haus. There is a Mövenpick restaurant, and from there - especially from the terrace - you have the same fabulous view as from those telescopes. Which BTW are free for use - and only one of them is working. The others are mock-telescopes, displaying historic views of Ulm.
Just a reminder: When you are in Neu-Ulm you are in Bavaria, when you are in Ulm you are in (Baden-)Württemberg.
