Walls and towers around the Old Town
by Travelchili
Most of the walls and towers that surround the Old Town of Nuremberg were built during the 15th century. They have mostly stayed untouched, except for one gap in the wall and the loss of the gates of Koenigstor in the 19th century.
Rocking
by Maria250
If you have never been (like me earlier) to a Rock Festival like the one of "Rock at the Park" in Germany's Nuremberg is, you have probably missed out something!
"Rock at the Park" is one of the big events for rock fans and takes place every year at Pentecost. About 90 bands give their shows on those two days, performing on three different stages. Tickets for "Rock at the Park" enclude parking and camping!
Back on July 6-8, 2005 about 130,000 fans have rocked along to 80 bands. We really had a blast! Those bands I liked the most among the 80 that performed: Metallica, Mudwine, Disturbed, Silverchair, Evanescence, Within Temptation, Reaman, Limp Bizkit*, Pappa Roach, Xavier Naidoo, Him*. *These ones the heck had canceled!

One of the best breakfasts I have ever seen
by sabsi about Zeit & Raum
You shouldn't miss Zeit & Raum, a cosy cafe near the river, on Sunday mornings. From 10 am to 3.30pm you get the nicest breakfast buffet you can imagine here. Eat as much as like of all the sweet and savoury, warm and cold treats for only EUR 7,80. The choice is endless: Different meat and fish, Asian finger food, Weißwürste, cake, pasties, jams, cornflakes, bread, puddings, fruit etc etc etc. Definitely some Weißwürste with sweet mustard and the vanilla pudding with fruit :)
Nuremberg Castle, the "Kaiserburg"
by Maria250
The majestic Nuremberg Castle, the "Kaiserburg", is considered Nuremburg's main sight. Indeed it does create a marvelous, medieval atmosphere to the Old Town of Nuremberg, which is almost completely surrounded by the long historic city wall back from the 15th/16th century. Actually the Nuremberg Castle is one of the most taken pictures.

Germanisches Museum - a church?
by Mikebond
When I visited this museum in 2005, some collections were located in what once were a church and a cloister. In the former cloister, I saw many religious stuff mainly from the Middle Ages, like the saint carrying "his" cathedral in the third photo.
