The place seemed popular with actors and musicians, as they were on photos all over the reception area, along with the owners. One photo even shows the Georgian Finance Minister. The hotel also has a car and they will drive you to the fair, station and airport if booked in advance.
The only thing I could say that was negative was that our bathroom although nice and clean was very small (not something we cared too much about) and that the TV channels were mostly German (which I speak but if you don't and really need a telly, you're stuck with CNN). Finally, if you have trouble walking, make sure you book a room along the staircase with the lift and not on the other side without one...guess how I know that :)
The thing that made us book this, apart from its location near the historic centre, was the pool. This turned out to be a five metre long and 1 metre 40 deep thing in the cellar, which was perfectly adequate for the six-year-old for conquering her feer of depths with us. Moreover, when we were there in November, the place was nearly empty so we had the pool to ourselves every evening. Very cosy. You can borrow bathrobes and change in your own room.
If you are a cycling tourist, the hotel has a room for storing bikes and a repair kit, and are recommended by several European cyclists associations.
