December in Nurnberg
by MissyWQ
Christmas time at the Christkrindle Mart where I had my first taste of Lebkucken cookies. Oh, wonder of wonders! Do not drink the water. I got pregnant twice there (from H20 of course) then moved to Frankfurt/Unterliederbach and got pg. again. When I left in 1961 with one 5 yr. old son I brought from Mass. and 3 babies born in Germany, I went back to the States and never was pg. again.

It was overcasted in the morning causing it to be really cold! Good thing Allen bought me a wool sweater in Rottenburg - otherwise I would had froze! However, that passed fairly quickly - then it was warm again :-)
Many ways to move around Nürnberg
by Mikebond
This sign, located at the exit of a metro station, show some of the way you can choose to move around Nürnberg and its region: the train (DB are the German railways), the metro (U-Bahn), the local railway or light-rail metro (S-Bahn) and, of course, your feet. Actually, the walking man means this is an underground passage.
Nürnberg has two metro lines that connect the city centre to the airport and to the near city of Furth, plus six tram lines and several bus lines. You can see all the lines and the timetables at the website below.

Don't miss to climb up to the castle!! The castle itself is very impressive, but so is the view from the top!!!
The castle is within walking distance from the main station and it is a wonderful walk up there!
