take a look at this...

take a look at this structure. No, not Rome! This is a relict of that infamous time 60 years ago, and this structure was neither finished nor badly hit later. Today, it is used for storage and as a car park, but nobody really knows what to do with it. So it sits there, falling to pieces. BUT they have recently put in a great museum: "Third Reich in Nuremberg". Nuremberg used to be Hitler´s show-off city; once a year the town hosted the "Reichsparteitag" when (chosen) people from all over the country wound come and march and sing. GO AND SEE IT - it´s worth it! Definitely! But bring time..........
The structure is called the 'Colloseum` and sits right next tp the site of our annual fair. Great amusement thing (Volksfest). The annual fair used to be one of the two places where I would be able to have my beloved grilled sausages when I was a child. Nowadays, those sausages are on sale everywhere in the old town. Then, I couldn´t wait........... (the next chance would have been Christmas time, the Christkindlesmarkt)
Aufseßplatz
by AnnaLupilla
The Aufseßplatz is the central square of the Nürnberg Südstadt.
It's located only a five-minute-walk from the station, and can be reached easily by foot or blue metro. Around the square you can find some shops, like "Käseglocke" and the former "Horten" (now "Galeria Kaufhof"). Besides there is a neat market, selling fresh fruit, vegetables and bio-products. Right now the square is to be remodelled, so let's see how it will end up. There is a beautiful fountain to be seen, some street cafe's, and a brand new playground with a huge grasshopper which is about to be opened in 2005. Unfortunately I will not be there, when it's finished --> Guatemala!
Brunch and Coffee Bar
by chris.hh about Diverse Locations
Cafe Zauberberg is a nice spot for having breakfast or just for coffee time. Cute atmosphere, furniture is inspired by art nouveau style - but in a modern interpretation.

Sachs & Söhne
I like this cafe/restaurant cause of its uncomplicated atmosphere. Also a gay friendly place. In summertime they have seats outside and serve cocktails. Close to the centre. In December the children's xmas maket takes place just in front of the bar. By the way, I love their fresh made lemonades;-)

The Bar Celona is a restaurant chain that has several restaurtant within German cities. It is pretty OK - it is supposed to have good brunches. Although I myself prefer smaller and more individual places...

Hofzug of ("mad") King Ludwig II of Bavaria
by globetrott
These train-wagons are the most beautiful I have ever seen ! The wagon of the king had a golden crown on top and the inside was decorated with wonderful paintings and golden chairs and tables, even the columns of the platform had decorations with Ludwigs crown and an "L" for Ludwig. . The train had a total of 8 wagons, including 2 wagons for the kitchen and an open wagon, that the king used as a terrace. King Ludwig often used also ordinary trains, because he enjoyed travelling incognito as well.
The Castle
by mirchica
The Castle of Nuremberg is its symbol. It is one of the most important imperial palaces of the Middle Ages. It is interesting to walk around but the view from the castle is what I liked the best. Read about its history here. It is definitely a must see .
