Regensburg Star Inn Hotel

We booked this hotel, because we didn't want to use the car or the public transport when walking around in Regensburg. Star Inn is just 5 minutes from the station. So take care to get a room which is not that loud. The room we had was rather small, especially the bathroom. But for one night, it was more than ok.
There is a parking under the hotel, where you pay 10 Euro for 24 hours. You get the breakfast in the 5th floor, where you have a nice view over Regensburg. I didn't make pics from the breakfast room, because it looks really like on their website.
Star Inn Hotel is a three stars hotel located near the train station. The windows are not soundproofed so, if you have got the room along the railway or the street you hear all the annuncements in the station and the terrible noise of the train that arrive or pass through that line. The rooms are not very big and the bathroom is quite small. The hotel has got a own car park in the underground floors. The breakfast is not included in the room fees and you must pay 10 € each person. It is a buffet breakfast and there is a good choice of food. The staff is friendly. The hotel is close to the Regensburg historical center that you can reach by foot in 10 minutes.
I chose it because it's just a stone's throw from the railway station. It is also fairly close to the city centre (the Altstadt). The room was rather small, but there was a (Queen size) double bed with a television, and a tiny wardrobe space. It is not quite double glazed, so you can still hear trains at night. I would have appreciated a mini fridge and a kettle in the room - but perhaps this is not the norm in Germany. But it was certainly clean and modern looking and the staff reasonably friendly.
