Rothenburg o.d.Tauber - Hotel Markusturm
by globetrott about Romantik Hotel Markusturm
Romantikhotel Hotel Markusturm is a really lovely hotel, built next to one of the medieval town-gates of Rothenburg ob der Tauber. They have just 21rooms and 4 suits available, but you will live in a great old building, in a walking-distance of 300 meters to the main square of Rothenburg

Rothenberg Retreat from the Rain
by Jehcekah about Merian Hotel - Rothenberg ob der Tauber
This was by far the smallest room that we stayed in during the course of our trip. It was clean and affordable and had a nice breakfast. The hotel is located not too far from the trainstation. It is next door to a gas station which was a nice way to get a late night snack. This hotel definitely wasn't the best hotel in Rothenburg, but it offered us a clean place to lay our weary heads.
Best Hotel with a view in Rothenburg
by davequ about Burg-Hotel
Burg-Hotel:
If there is room in your budget, this is one of the more expensive hotels in Rothenburg, and it is worth the money.
Situated on the edge of the ancient city wall with an unobstructed view of the whole Tauber valley from the breakfast terrace, there is no price that can buy this view.
See the website listed on this page. If money's not a problem, it is well spent at Burg-Hotel. Great rooms & suites, good food, and professional friendly staff. But the view is the most amazing part. Interiors of hotel on the web site also attest to its class and charm.
One sunny breakfast on the ancient city-wall terrace of the hotel and you are hooked. Even the views on the hotel's web site don't do it justice - they have to be seen to be believed. And some of the rooms during "specials" (see web site) are surprisingly affordable.
Calm and comfortable inn
by elgin99 about Gasthof "Zur Altmühlquelle"
One small inn in a little distance to Rothenburg, in the midst of country surroundings. Very nice owners, a good service and pretty rooms. In the warm season one can have breakfasts outside. Directly at the Altmuehl spring and small sea where also camping is possible. Comfortable, quietly and well. To recommend.
Hotel Kruchof Garni
by Ladymarian1
Small family run hotel in centre of Rothenburg. Might have spelt the name wrong! Parking is available. Rooms are large and spotless. Nice little touches such as chocolate put on pillow Breakfast is plentiful and Patron could not have done more to have made us more welcome. English was spoken. Would definitely recommend Patron extremely welcoming. Tucked up side street, can be a little difficult to find.

Hello friends, we will be in Rothenburg on Saturday April 11th which is the one before Easter Sunday. Will the nightwatchman tour be taking place that evening as it is a holiday? Also next day, Easter, we are driving to Berchtesgaden. I know it usually takes 4 hours but should we expect delays due to heavy holiday traffic? Thank you in advance
