Their brochure says "Romantisches Seehotel mit Herz", which is absolutely true.
The hotel is rather old but charming, with cracking wooden floors and staircase but a modern elevator.
Our room was on the first floor (2nd US). It was large, had 2 comfy beds, a colour TV, telephone, a balcony overlooking the Königssee, and a tiny bathroom with shower, sink and toilet. It had a beautiful parquet floor and typical Bavarian furniture. Above all, it was VERY CLEAN!!
Good buffet breakfast included.

Unique Quality: Lakeside, surrounded by the mountains of the Berchtesgadener area.
Romantic location, in the heart of the small village of Schönau am Königssee, with the lake at the front door. Lively during the day because the boat tours on the lake (electrical boats, no noise and environmental friendly) start just in front of the hotel. Perfectly quiet after the daytrippers have gone.
Good value for money (we paid 76 euro for a double, incl. breakfast).

Pros & cons: the location was definitely a PRO. It was extremely hot when we were there and the rooms have no A/C, so that was a CON.
