Is this church one that we can go in and take pictures? I'm in schweinfurt and will be here for the next 3 years and am looking for some good pictures to take to make myself a scapbook. Thank you

Catholic churches are more likely to be open during the day than Protestant ones. You can take pictures, as long as nobody is in the church praying. If you want to take pictures of a Protestant church, go there Sundays and ask after the service if it is allowed. I wouldn't be surprised if you'd get a tour of the church.
Travel Tips for Schweinfurt

Schweinfurt did have a good sized US Army presence in the 80's. So they have some things that are american but not a lot. Mc Donalds of course. But they did not serve Beer unlike the one in Garmish. But it is right across the road from Ledward Barracks so of course it saw a lot of americans at lunch time. If you didn't know where to look, you would not have known the americans were there. They have a nice little Christmas market in December downtown. My favorite memory is the one Dec 6, my husband and I saw St Nickolus and his helper making the rounds of one of the neighborhoods one evening. All dressed up in his long robe trimmed in fur and they had a sack of goodies.
