Give yourself plenty of time...

Give yourself plenty of time in the past meets future town. Left of many traveler's list, that may be a good thing for you. Not touristy and still very authentic. I cannot remember all the different bars/clubs we went to. They've got everything: expensive trendy bars, loud night clubs, Irish type pubs (where if you sing like an American at an Irish bar you're sure to get some backup from the locals who are quite used to that). Just wandering around. Right, I know, that's my fondest memory for every place. How else are you gonna see & experience those little things that make the trip. This town was exceptional for walking around all the different parts. Be sure to treat yourself to some gourmet chocolate in one the shops
Wesel
by Kuznetsov_Sergey
The Wesel river is one of the most important rivers of Germany. In days of Hansa this river served as one of the basic trading arteries.
After construction of a big sea-port in Bremerhaven in 70 kilometers from Bremen in the mouth of Wesel the value of Bremen as a river port has fallen.
American foods

We went here because they had potatoskins. For some reason we "love"them, and they are not served anywhere in Finland.
It was looking a lot like all American restaurants(otside USA at least-I haven´t been to USA),all old adds at walls and little western style maybe.
IWe had of course those potatoskins-witch were good, but not best we had. Then I had some kind of tortilla baked at owen with chicken inside and my husband had hamburger. My portion was quite good(chips at photo didn´t include,we ordered them),but it was little too dry,and I was not so happy finding tomatos inside-it was not said at menu.Luckily I´m not allergic,I just don´t like them,so I took biggest parts away-but it´s quite common to be allergic to tomatos,so funny that it wasn´t mentioned.
My husband said, that hamburger was little boring-nothing wrong, but he would not order it again anyway. It was quite popular, and at least at friday-night we had to wait for allmost an hour to get the food! Potato skins :D

Drink lots of Beck's!! It cheap there and it's good. Then after you've 'warmed up' take a tour of the Beck's brewery. You'll learn a lot about the history and the processes of brewing beer. You even get some samples!!
Soegerstrasse
by Mariajoy
The statue of the pig herder and his swine, marks the beginning of the busy pedestrianised shopping street. Soeger comes from the German "Saeue" meaning "sow" and back in the middle ages, the pig herder would bring his pigs here at the end of the day when the market closed so that his pigs could feast on all the left over or discarded fruit and vegetables. The shops here today are big department stores and smaller chain stores and you can buy absolutely anything - and the bronze pigs are extremely popular with children.
