Trams to your hotel.

I've visited Bremen a few times, and it has an excellent public transport system, especially trams and buses, run by BSAG

It looks complicated but it's not really. You can ask for a hard-copy at the BSAG offices at Domsheide (town-centre, back of cathedral) or outside the main railway station.

Any way looking at the Linienuebersicht map and at Google map for your hotel, it seems to me that the nearest stop to your hotel is Ludwig-Quidde Strasse on tram lines 2 and 10.

It strikes me that the obvious action is for you to get a Number 6 tram from the Airport to Domsheide and change onto an east-bound Number 2 tram (You will have to walk a few yards to change tram stops). This is not difficult - try asking a local for help if you are not sure - and don't panic if you 'just miss a tram' because they run regularly, every few minutes.

There used to be only a limited range of tickets available at the airport from machines. Depending on when you arrive and how many in your party, it might be worth visiting the BSAG office at Domsheide, before going on to your hotel on a No 2 tram, to buy a Tageskarte (day ticket) or something similarly appropriate to your needs. (The staff spoke excellent English).

I have used Bremen trams and buses at all times of day and night, sober and otherwise, and never got stranded. There are however taxis in Bremen, but I have only resorted to using one once when a delayed Ryanair flight got me to Bremen at midnight.
