From activehotels.com:

Travelling from Bremen Hauptbahnhof (main railway station) or the Messe (trade fair):
- Take the number 10 tram line towards Sebaldsbrück for approximately 12 minutes
- Exit the tram at the Am Hulsberg stop
- Walk right on to Verdener Straße
- The hotel is located at Verdener Straße 47

Travelling by train:
- Take the number 6 train line towards the Universität
- Exit the train at the Domsheide stop and take the number 2 train line towards Sebaldsbrück
- Exit the train at the Am Hulsberg stop
- Walk right on to Verdener Straße
- The hotel is located at Verdener Straße 47

From the main station you can take tram line # 10 (direction Bremen, Sebaldsbrück) and leave at stop "Am Hulsberg". That's close to Verdener Strasse. This tram leaves the main station in intervals of 10 minutes and the ride to "Am Hulsberg" takes 11 minutes. For more info:

Thanks a lot!At booking.com there wasn´t directions for tram, only for coming by car.At Venere, witch I use even more, there is allways those directions, but they didn´t have as much hotels in Bremen.I tried to find as cheap hotel closer to old town, but there isn´t one.Let´s just hope it wont rain so much,so we can walk-it´s said to be 2km from old town.

Timetable
http://www.fahrplaner.de/hafas/query.exe/en
From: Bremen Flughafen
To: Bremen Verdener Strasse 47

Flughafen = airport
Hbf = Hauptbahnhof = main railway station

Bremen taxi tariff plus tariff calculator (but only in German)
http://www.taxi-ruf-bremen.de/noflash/tarife/index.html
Airport to Verdener Strasse 47 would be approx. EUR 14.

Re: Trams

Thanks for you, too.I think we need to go back to airport with taxi, because or flight leaves so early, that it is in fact at night.
We also have booked a tour at Beck´s at saturday, but I think we have time in Friday afternoon to find out,how to go there.

Travel Tips for Bremen

Kohlfahrten - Cabbage Tours

by joernme

We people from Bremen are strange - In the deepest winter we go outside and walk for hours over the dikes. No matter what the wheather is like - the worse the better. We walk, talk, drink, laugh, play funny games and in the end come to some restaurants where the cabbage party starts....

The Tram

by Knoto

A good way to travel around in Bremen is the Tram. You find many many Trainstations here and you can visit the whole town.
At the stations you find the schedules. I think they start every 5-10 Minutes.

Summer Must: "Schlachte"

by Xfire

If you are in Bremen and the weather is rather nice, you an be sure, that you will find most of the Bremen citizen at the Schlachte, having a beer...
It is a really nice surrounding there and in the evening you can see how the sun goes down over the river "Weser".

Bremen Knightlife

by jglsongs

The statue of the knight Roland, the symbol of freedom for the Free Hanseatic State of Bremen, stand guard on the Marktplatz in front of the Rathaus, diagonal from the Dom (Cathedral) and directly opposite to the entrance to the Böttcherstrasse.

Although the natives walk by Roland without noticing, he is the second most visited statue in the city (after the Bremer Stadtmusikanten).

Just be careful not to stare too long at him without watching where you're going- the city trams go by pretty quickly, as well as some senior citizen shoppers barging through to get to Karstadt or some other department store.

Schütting

by Audrey118

This is a very impressive building - really fine architecture. It was built in 1537/38, along an exact and delicate style of Flemish-inspired Renaissance architecture.

The mansion is where Bremen`s former guild of merchants used to convene. It is now used as the city`s Chamber of Commerce. The elaborate entrance gate was added in the 19th century.
