Hamburg has a great local transportation network. There's S- and U-Bahn trains you can easily get everywhere with. S-Bahns are divided into 1st and 2nd class. Don't even think about getting a 1st class ticket - the 1st class looks about the same as the 2nd class!If there is more of you - make sure to buy a day ticket for groups (up to 5 people!). It costs 7.40 EURO and that's really cheap isn't it?
