Fantastic food,great ambience
by hb_capri about Restaurant at the East Hotel
The first thing you notice about the East Hotel is the decor......its a boutique hotel and everything about this place is classy. And the food there is to die for! I don't know if the hotel has more than one restaurant,we went to the restaurant which is a level below the ground with very high ceiling and very interesting windows on one wall. The staff was very courteous and they even give you a 'at your service' card with the waitress' name on it which we thought was kinda funny coz it said At you service tonight- Amanda:)we don't have any complaints for the slower than usual service coz the food was worth the wait We ordered sushi,Thai chicken curry with rice and some noodles with chicken.Everything was flavoured to perfection and finger licking good:)For dessert we had the mousse au chocolat, pannacota with wild berries and a mango & lemongrass sorbet with gooseberry.I would recommend all of these and if I get a chance to go to Hamburg, I'll def go to the East

Hamburg Lubeck airport ??
imho it should be forbidden to use that name, because Lübeck is quite some distance from Hamburg, but Ryanair gives you the feeling its in the outskirts of Hamburg !
Frankfurt/Hahn is even worse

There is a shuttle bus between Hamburg and Lübeck Airport. Have a look at the website of the airport:
http://www.luebeckairport.com/
Click on the english flag and then on "Get here/Parking" - "Arriving by bus & train".
I don't know if it is possible to transport 3 boxed bicycles in the bus. Maybe you should contact them for that info via e-mail: Kundendienst@vhhpvg.de

You do get three bicycles in a train, though - boxed or not.
Anyway, I'd suggest you spend some time in Lübeck as well, as Lübeck actually has an old town - as opposed to Hamburg which was bombed to rubble in 1944.
You could even cycle to the Baltic sea.
Fangdieckstrasse in Hamburg sadly is more a "business park" than anything else and a bit far out from the main sights and good places to cycle, lake Alster and river Elbe.
