Hamburg- Flensburg

by gautamb

Can someone help me to find a bus from Flensburg to Hamburg.
Also at what minimum euro I can find a hotel in Hamburg..
Your help will be greatly appreciated...

Re: Hamburg- Flensburg

Schleswig-Holstein has with Hamburg a common public transport tariff (SH tariff). This tariff covers all local public transport (regional trains + buses). Which means as a consequence nobody will use a (slow) bus running parallel to a railway route.

SH tariff single ticket Flensburg - Hamburg is EUR 26,40 (day ticket is EUR 30,10).
This is a zone-to-zone ticket. You can travel on it from any train station or bus stop to any train station or bus (or U-Bahn or ferry) stop in Hamburg (HVV).

Travel Tips for Hamburg

Enjoy the Alster. It is great...

by DanielF

Enjoy the Alster. It is great that the city center is occupied by this man-made lake. From the bridge that divides it into the inner and outer Alster, you can have a great view of the Jungfernstieg and the city's skyline and the spires of its churches. The outer Alster is much larger and it is surrounded by a park. It is perfect for jogging, strolling, sailing... The combination of the elegant atmosphere of some neighborhoods and the bohemian charachter of a harbor city make of Hamburg a unique place.

Reeperbahn is loud and busy on...

by hajin

Reeperbahn is loud and busy on Fridays, Saturdays, everyday... I'm not sure if it's still there (I hope so), but go to the renovated factory turned club, Fabrik, for dancing and live music. Hamburg also has quite a few jazz clubs. As I recall, most places were pretty casual.

THE GERMAN KITCHEN

by STEFZAMM about LAUFAUF

A VERY HOMELY RESTAURANT ... WOODEN DECO' .. VERY WARM. MAINLY ITS GERMAN CUISINE.. ALL DISHES INCLUDE PATATOES EVEN IF TO YOUR COMMON SENSE, KNOWLEDGE AND THE WORLD'S MENU THE PATATOE DOES NOT GO WITH A PARTICULAR PLATE.. THE GERMAN'S WOULD DEFINETELY ADD IT UP THEMSELVES :) GOOD FOOD THOUGH, LARGE PORTIONS AND NOT EXPENSIVE, VERY IDEAL FOR A FAIRLY LARGE PORTIONED LUNCH BREAK .. I HAD THIS MEAT WITH PATATOES OBVIOUSLY AND VEGTABLES ... IT WAS GOOD.. BIG PORTIONS TOO .. FOR MORE DETAILS AND THE MENU CHECK OUT THE WEBSITE.

Current American Commercial Releases (In English)

Streits Film Theatre offers easy access to English Language movies without subtitles. Whereas the Abaton and 3001 Kino lean toward indie releases and Oscar buzz films, Streits will offer fluff and action blockbusters, a la Indiana Jones, or Sex In the City. Streits has a theatre lobby which also does double duty as a popular "scene" bar with designer drinks and lounge music for hip Hamburg 30-somethings and the after hours crowd from exclusive surrounding shops. During summer, evening movie goers spill out onto the sidewalk, enjoying cocktails or iced coffee while they take in the view of the Alster lake and pavillion across the street. It's a locale that works just as well on a rainy day or Sunday, when you want to find something cozy to do other than stay at home or wander around a museum for hours on end...
