Hamburg has a lot of museums. It's very good for a rainy day! Why don't you visit the Galerie der Gegenwart? It's an museum for contemporary art. Beside the Galerie der Gegenwart you can find the Kunsthalle, where you can find old art.
Broadway Right Here In Hamburg
by ericaj. about Musicals
The current resident musicals for Hamburg in 2008 are:
THE LION KING: ( S Bahn 1, 3 or U Bahn 3 to Landungsbrücken, then take "Lion King Ferry" across the River Elbe to the venue)
Tickets for musicals are most easily found at the general box office in the central station Haupbahnhof, which sits directly across from the DB Train booking office. At this box office you can also find out what other plays are in town, as well as tickets for dance, classical, and international pop concerts in large and small venues. Hamburg is a smartly dressed town, but can also lean towards trendy casual. Jeans are often fine in many places, but it's best to leave the sneakers in the suitcase on theatre nights out.

The best way for myself is going by car. It's just a two hours drive from my Hometown to Hamburg!
You also can use the train or the airplane.
If you come from England you also can arrive by Ferry! Hamburg-Harwich
By Car, Bus or explore Hamburg with your own feets!!
Bahrenfelder Volkspark

This is a nice and very green park, ideal for a walk with the family. You have playgrounds there, it is close to the Stadium (if you want to see that) and it is very beautiful, especially in Autumn when you see all those colourful leaves on the ground.
Take a walk around downtown...

Take a walk around downtown and look at all the shops, take a walk or ride around the Aussenalster to see the gorgeous buildings (this photo is of the Rathaus), take a good book to the Stadtpark, browse around the culturally diverse Altona section, take in the ballet at the Opera House, and just enjoy the city at a leisurely pace.
