Hotel Hafen Hamburg was built at the best place on top of the small hill over St.Pauli Landungsbruecken and most of its room have a really perfect view on all the ships passing by. When-ever big cruiseships like M/S Queen Mary II , M/S Freedom of the Seas etc. will come to Hamburg, you will see hundreds of people standing at the terraces of Hafen-hotel and plenty of photographers will book a room in that hotel just in order to take their pics from that view.
Unique Quality: Of course the Hafen Hotel Hamburg is also agreat hotel and on top of the tower there is a bar, in a hight of 62 meters with an excellent view over the city and the port of Hamburg. On their web-page you may see a 360-degree-panorama from that "Tower-bar"
Directions: Hafen Hotel Hamburg is just about 100 meters from the station "St.Pauli Landungsbruecken" and just about 300 meters from Reeperbahn.
In Sept. 2001, about $150 for the corner suite. I think we got lucky, we inquired after determing we needed to leave the Hotel Imperial (not the best experience there, but it's at the mouth of the Reeperbahn area, so what would one expect?)
Unique Quality: We lucked into a 5th-floor business suite that happened to be vacant. Panoramic views above the harbor to the south; and humbling vista to the north where a park is home to a stoic, spectacular, monument to sea hero, Otto von Bismark. (photo taken through my 5th-floor window)
Hi,
I'm trying to organise a trip for a stag in May. We've been told the Reeperbahn is the place to go, but not neccessarily the place to stay. Can anyone make any suggestions for stag friendly hotels within walking distance of the area?
Any help much appreciated,
Ta
