a small hotel with a nasty past

Hotel Stern is a hotel in the very centre of Reeperbahn and by the small rooms they have you may understand that this place was once used for another prupose, before it was transfered into a nice hotel. When you see the rather low prices of this place, you should considder that breakfast is seperate ( 4,50 euros per person extra)
My nephew stayed there some weeks ago and enjoyed it !

Unique Quality: I would not recommend this place for families with children or other sensitive personen, because this place is surrounded by strange bars and shops.
At the same time it makes a lot of sense for other people to live not far from the discos, nightlife and theaters of Hamburg. Decide for yourself !!
42 euros for the doubleroom, that is even a good deal for Hamburg, when you are travelling alone !
They even have their own garage !

Cheap and Cheerful

Found this place which worked out at £11 a night, seeing as it was a group of guys we were'nt exactly looking for 5 star decandance. The Hotel Stern fitted our requirements to a tee.

Shared twin bedrooms were basic and clean, towels got changed daily and the shared facilities were spotless. I would rate this place as not much more than a glorified youth hostel, but hey, that fitted the bill and i would recommend the Stern to anyone.

Slap bang in the middle of the famous Reeperbahn, the location could not of really been much better.

Unique Quality: This hotel is surrounded by establishments that are home to ladies of the night, mmm, interesting.

An ideal base for any stag do or lads break. Not an ideal place to take the good lady to, specially if you want to impress her.

Cheap sleep

The best thing about this hotel is that it's situated right on the Reeperbahn. I spent a night here when I have been to a concert in the "Grosse Freiheit", which is right around the corner.
It's ok for one night. Don't expect great views thought it's in a backyard.....which is an advantage on the Reeperbahn I think.

Unique Quality: Well, it only has one star and the beds haven't been the most comfortable. But the nice fact is, that all rooms have included bathrooms with showers and color TV.
