by Madschick
For information on fleamarkets in and around Hamburg you might want to have a look in one of the local newspapers, or at the 'Troedler & Sammler' magazine. This journal has all the dates and locations of fleamarkets within Germany for each month. For Hamburg fleamarkets look at zipcode 2!
Barmbek Rundbunker Wiesendamm
by Airpunk
Although the second world war has been over for more than 60 years, there are still many bunkers from the second world war to be seen in Hamburg. The most famous and one of the largest is the one at the Heiligengeistfeld (close the St. Pauli stadium), but there are hundreds of smaller ones in and around Hamburg. One is located close to the U/S-Bahn (subway/metro)-station of Barmbek. It was used as a furniture store for years, but was abandoned in the early 2000s. An independent organization is now in charge of maintaining the bunker. The bunker is nothing special, but you can have a small look around when you visit the nearby Museum der Arbeit (museum of work).
THE Gay Hangout in St. Georg
by shellseeker about Café Gnosa
To see and to be seen - there is hardly any other gay place in Hamburg for which this is more true than for the Café Gnosa. Located just right in the heart of gay Hamburg (Lange Reihe, St.Georg), it is a place for everybody to come to - students, businessmen, shirt- or leather-guys all like to meet friends or to read the newspaper while drinking a cup of coffee here (and it is one of the few real cafés in HH!). There are not so many lesbian guests here though. The place is always crowded, especially on Saturdays when you can only get a free seat by chance. casual
Taverna Sotiris
by tini58de about my favourite Greek restaurant in Hamburg
Sotiris is a very unique place to me: it is dark, has very basic furniture, no tablecloths, nothing fancy - just a crowd of people going there, discussing, drinking and enjoying the food.
It is different than the usual Greek restaurant in Germany, and that is what I like so much about it. The food is okay, good helpings - and this unique atmosphere!
tiny beach

You can go to Blankanese, if you are looking for a beach @ Hamburg. The neach is very small and its most popular during summer. You can reach either by taking S-Bhan or you can take the boat (HVV run) from Landusbruke at Hamburg.
