place to stay in June (munich + Cologne)
I'm looking for a place to stay in Munich (June 15 - June 19) and then in Cologne (June 20 - June 24), ideally in a youth hostel or something like that so that I can meet people.
I know how crazy the world cup is going to be, and already most of the places are booked, I've been to the following web sites:

http://www.hostel-cologne.de/index.htm
but they either haven't gotten back to me or they're full.
Doesn't anyone know of any places that I could stay for around 20-30 euros?? Thanks so much, really appreciate it, I hope I won't have to find a bridge somewhere.. :)

Try the Meininger Hostel in Munich. I stayed in their branch in Berlin and can only recommend the chain.

Well 20-30 euros thats pretty cheap for munich. Maybe there are some youth hostels in some of the smaller towns, that are still connected to munich by S-Bahn? Or you should consider camping: http://www.meinestadt.de/muenchen/wm06/rell/100-94318-34489
