Any Appartment Hotels?

by chennaismartguy

Dear Friends,

I am at Hamburg now and will be here for another 1 or 2 months, looking for an appart/ appartment hotel with all facilities inlcuding cooking area, washing machine, internet etc. I can afford between Euro 1000-1400 for a month. Kindly let me know if you have something in mind.

Thanks & warm regards,
Sen

Re: Any Appartment Hotels?

Hi,
My husband and I stayed at an apartment hotel named Apre.I cannot remember exactly where it is located(we were there about 12 years ago)It is a very beautiful, economical place with all the amenities that you have mentioned. It is also very conviniently located. It is in a suburb called Eidelsted. It is easy to reach by train from the main station(haufbanhof)It is mainly used for senior citizens, but we found it extremely comfortable, safe and convinient and beautiful.Maybe some vts in Hamburg who read this will know!
Hope this helps,
Regards,
Vpas

Travel Tips for Hamburg

City Hall (More pics are in...

by zheyy

City Hall (More pics are in Travelogue ^^) It's not only a office building for government, it's open to everyone. You may find interesting exhibitions sometimes. There's an open-air court, where people can enjoy coffee or something. Also a beautiful fountain is there. I like sculptures of the fountain so much.

Fishmarkt

by dragontml

Every Sunday morning the cobbled streets just south of the Reeperbahn are invaded by a fleet of small trucks which pour a market onto the banks of the Elbe. Locals have been wandering through the elaborate displays of fruit, vegetables and seafood every week since 1703. The market superstars are the stallholders, who flirt, cajole and tease passers-by, some proffering - with a healthy dose of innuendo - eels for sampling.

Jazz for the Hardcore Afficionado

Pizza, Pasta, Burgers...

by chris.hh about Omas Apotheke

"Grandma's Pharmacy" has been a drug store. Now you'll get a nice meal in the old pharmacy. The historic counter is still there. The cozy pub/restaurant offers a good deal for a fair prize. With pizza, pasta, salads, burgers, etc. the menue is directed to young guest. You can have breakfast as well as lunch and dinner. Or just have a beer later in the evening.

The Port Area

by slothtraveller

The Port Area in Hamburg is particularly interesting to get a feel of the city's past. The entrance to the port is guarded by two statues of explorers, one of Christopher Columbus and one of Vasco de Gama.
Hamburg's port area is a main contributor to the city's wealth. There are numerous canals and bridges.
