This hotel is an Inn which is located in Eisenburg. It was one of the best hotels we stayed at during our honeymoon. It was a cozy country type of place. The owner was very friendly, but spoke very little English. I recommend this place to people who can speak at least some German.
The place had a country German (Bavarian) type of feel to it. I would describe the place as being in a more rural area. It is a bucolic type of area. It is best to look for this place in the day time since the rural road signs are not so easy to follow. This was where my wife and I stayed on our first night in Germany. After all the places we've stayed this one stands out as the nicest. We stayed on the top floor in what seemed more like a spacious apartment than hotel room. Very clean...very nice bathroom. If you can get a room here I wouldn't hesitate. If you stay in this town you MUST visit the Babble a Pub. The bartender/entertainer Ziggy is like a lovable charactor out of a Seinfeld episode.

A converted old mill, that kept its old world charm. The rooms are spacious and luxurious. Bring a bathing suit to use in the indoor pool and sauna. If you are within 50 miles of Neumuhle check it out. Theme: OtherComparison: more expensive than averageAddress: Hammelburg (57 km North of Wurzburg)Other Contact: (09732) 80 30

It wasn't bad. My friend and I were able to get a room just to ourselves, so that we didn't have to share it with strangers. The fact that you are actually staying in a castle is just awesome. Just so you know that what I'm saying here is true, take a look here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nuremberg_Castle at the bottom of the HISTORY section, you can see that it says "Today, the emperor's old mews is used as a youth hostel." That's where we stayed. We didn't have reservations at all, we just walked to the front desk and got a room for a few nights. There were some great places to eat within just a couple blocks, as well. It was a fun time, and reasonably priced as I recall.
It's a castle...need I say more? Theme: HostelPrice: US$20-40 » Currency ConverterComparison: least expensiveAddress: Northern part of old town, Nurnberg

If you go to Rothenburg on the Romantic road, I would suggest you also look into the Ringhotel in the center of the old town. I have stayed in this hotel many times, it is very reasonable, good food with that family touch, something I miss in the larger hotels, and a great location.
The location inside the walled city is superb. It has been in their family since 1898, it has been updated but it still retains so much of its old world qualities. They have a small private garage for storing your car, a must as parking is a problem inside the wall. The old circular wall of the city is visible from some of the rooms. The town center is a very short walk up the street. The shopping, and especially the Christmas shopping at Kathe Wolfarhrt are a thing to see, 3 floors of magic for the season. This hotel on the fringe of Weimar is just 5 minutes driving distance to the inner city and has a beautiful, quiet location with a small park. Cozy rooms, perfect service, excellent breakfast menu, fair prices.

The SAS Radisson is right accross from the Messegelande where most trade shows take place. it is a very new hotel with the typical scandinavian touch I have come to love from the hotels in this group. The rooms are very spacious and are very quiet. I did get a chance to see several rooms by visitng my colleagues rooms and they were all in the same design and lay out. The bathrooms are absolutely fantastic. Very stylish, unlike some other sterile hotel rooms. The thing which I liked most was the huge shower head. Breakfast is very nice and offers a wide variety of bread, cakes, cereals and fruit. Hot or cold breakfast options are available. Staff are very friendly and helpfull and can give you good tips on where to go for a night out, that is if you don't plan on staying in the very nice hotel lobby.
