Signpost down the road by VictoriaCampbell Would definitely recommend this hotel based on the staff alone. Courteous, friendly and very helpful while staying in the area. Dinner in the adjoining restaurant was wonderful. From the nice selection of wines to my first taste of genuine sauerkraut, it was superb. The owners daughter spoke at length with us about our trip and made us feel at home during our stay. Her mom was the proprietor of the gift shop which truly makes this the well rounded establishment. The atmosphere at night was very quiet as the whole town seems to shut down. Our room was average but the view of Neuschwanstein castle from the balcony made the more than average price well worth it. Stay here, relax and enjoy. by Paul2001 If you just need a place to clean stay but do not care a hang about atmosphere then you should check out the Hotel Ibis Furtmayr in Regensburg. For North Americans unfamiliar with the Ibis hotels, you will find that these look just like Comfort Inns or Red Roof Inns back home. Reliable, affordable and predictable. When I am in a town just for a night I like to stay close to the train station and this hotel was just a block away. A nice thing about Ibis' is that they often offer discounts so check it out.
Clean but basically a cement block of a building. The beds are alway large and compfy. These are basically business hotels. Me and my tent by joolssss This campsite is great, very small but it has everything you need. the showers and toilets are very clean and if you need anything the owner lives on the other side of the road. There is a small shop that sells basic stuff. I do not know where the nearest "proper" shop would be but there is a great restaurant just up the road!
Runs along the edge of a stream, its very very cold water but nice for a paddle. We have seen some spectacular thunder and lightening while staying here on 2 separarte occassions! The people are exceptional and the views are outstanding. Oh its cheap too! by Paul2001 I had one of those annoying things that happen when you are touring Europe when I decided to visit Cologne. There was a trade show in town which means nearly all of the hotels were booked up solid. I finally got a room in this hotel and at an inflated price. The hotel was pretty mediocre. My room, though large, was in need of maintenance and perhaps some replacement of furniture. The staff here was just trying to get through the day and not particularly friendly, especially compared to the Hotel Hamm were I stayed the previous night. For a three star hotel, I expected more.
The hotel was reasonably close to some of Colognes major attractions and the train station if you do not mind an extended walk. by RinaNeo Standing only a few storey talls this hotel in the middle of Munich , this family run boutique hotels is strongly recommeded for business travelers...although the price can be a whopping euro 170 per night, its money well spent...

by keeweechic Europa TOP Hotel- is located in a fairly quiet neighbourhood, approximately 1.5kms to the city centre. It is described as a first class but I wouldn't have rated it quite that high when I stayed there. It was clean and tidy enough but fairly basic. There is a restaurant and a bar in the hotel. by keeweechic On my first unexpected night in Frankfurt I stayed close to the airport at the Airport Novotel Hotel. This hotel had its own shuttle, was fairly large and modern and the room was good. I have since looked in the directory of Novotels and cannot find it listed now. On my return to Frankfurt I had booked a hotel through a travel agents Hotel Guide - I didn't know much about it except its location and price and that's what I went on. It was the Wiesbaten Hotel on Baseler Strasse, quite an old building and perhaps a little rundown but the room, although basic, was clean and tidy. the walls however were a little too thin (I had 'active' neighbours) but it was right opposite the railways station and I was able to take the train from the airport and just walk across to the hotel. by keeweechic The Berlin Mark Hotel is right in the heart of the city, only 5 minutes walk to Kurfurstendamm. Tour buses leave from the end of the street and the Hard Rock Cafe was only a few doors away.
Breakfast was included with the room cost and was a great selection of muesli, fruit, hot dishes and an assortment of bread. Even a chocolate on the pillow at night:-) Theme: HotelAddress: Meinekestrabe 18-19, D-10719 Berlin

by keeweechic This is a fairly old motel which is run by a family. There are 40 reasonably modern rooms which are equipped with TV. (cable & satellite), private bathroom, telephone and soundproof windows. There is a breakfast room (breakfast was included in my rate). Cosy and friendly and very handy. Theme: HotelAddress: Schillerstrasse 11aDirections: 2 mins walking from the Munich Main Train Station which is the main connection of all public transport. It is also within walking distance from the Oktoberfest and City Centre.
