This little hotel is out in Braubach just outside of Koblenz and on the banks of the Rhine. The people that run it are Italian and they offer great service. The man knows a little english but the other workers barely new any. But that was have the fun trying to learn a bit of german and italian at the same time.
The rooms were great and the two that I had, had a nice view of the Rhine. The resturuant was nice and cozy and the chef made some great meals. For breakfast it was a very good continental breakfast.
It made a nice starting of point to tour the Rhine area and also hit Koln from there in just about an hour drive.

We were looking for just any place to stay before we took a flight from Munich airport to come back home and discovered the Hotel Theresienhof by chance. They are a hotel/restaurant in nearby Hallbergmoos, which is actually closer to Munich's Flughafen airport than Munich itself. We were expecting something along the lines of a chain hotel but were pleasantly surprised to find them very cozy with a distinct family atmosphere. Rooms were small but had everything we needed. Television could have been a little bigger (looked like about a 12" screen). The place has the feel of a family run business which I very much enjoyed supporting. Our room window (we had room number 1) overlooked a courtyard which more resembled a family's backyard but noise was never a problem. The german cuisine was very good and the morning breakfast (included) was definitely more than we expected including fresh fruit, yogurt, cereals, juices, scrambled eggs and other hot dishes. Also they had a full kitchen so other breakfast items were available to order. Most of the staff speaks some English and they do provide a shuttle service to the airport or nearby train station. If you are looking for a nice place to stay before catching a flight or just want a nice place to stay during touring/traveling, I definitely recommend the Hotel Theresienhof.

Just walked in, the hotel is located five minutes from the train station. It was about 60 euro for a two bed room. Very well kept and friendly staff. Security was rather good and I saw nothing that would led me to believe that they ever left the front door so no outside people were let into the facility. Clean but basically a cement block of a building. The beds are alway large and compfy. These are basically business hotels. Excellent views of Elbe River and town. The Dom stands majestically right next door. Archeological digs are right outside the front door. The balcony would be great in summer but we couldnt stay out there because of the cold.
