 | Germany Reviews | Tips 71 - 80 of 334 | | This is the best place in the city to stay. Great service, clean rooms and beds, great bathrooms with hot water and hard running showers! Best place to park and simply walk over the bridge and into the city.
The view: recommend room # 528 WOW~! Breakfast is simple the best ever and for 15 euro ea. it better be. Try the omelets. This is a place to treat yourself, without paying through the nose. What you get is a wonderfully appointed room with all that you'd expect from a 4 star hotel. Indoor/outdoor pool, spa, gym room, tennis courts, and a great huge breakfast. Service we had was fine, the consierge helped out with things to do in the area. there was nice live music at the restaurant, good food, good beer of course. Seems every location in Berchtesgaden area affords great views, this is no exception. You've also got a straight view of the Eagles Nest, look up the mountain from the Parking lot. There's a lot of inexpensive pensions in Berchtesgaden area, and Hotel Alpenhof will run you more, but it's a very good price for what you get. Check their website for latest rates.

While in germany, u should stay on those great B&B - its great and the breakfasts are amazing :-) the only problem is alot of ur hosts wont speak english but ull learn some german words (like "fruchte or swartze" which means fruits or black - tea wise) most of the time those B&B are cheaper then hotels (our everage price was about 40 euros) Leave a Comment

I had one of those annoying things that happen when you are touring Europe when I decided to visit Cologne. There was a trade show in town which means nearly all of the hotels were booked up solid. I finally got a room in this hotel and at an inflated price. The hotel was pretty mediocre. My room, though large, was in need of maintenance and perhaps some replacement of furniture. The staff here was just trying to get through the day and not particularly friendly, especially compared to the Hotel Hamm were I stayed the previous night. For a three star hotel, I expected more.
The hotel was reasonably close to some of Colognes major attractions and the train station if you do not mind an extended walk. The last night of my second trip to Europe (1987), we stayed at the Gasthof-Hotel Zum Pflug. This hotel is at the top of the hill in the Black Forest. This was a nice change from the urban hotels in Frankfurt or Munich. The hotel restaurant served a continental breakfast which consisted of hard rolls, jelly, and coffee. If it weren't our last night I would have wanted to stay a week.
The rooms have a private balcony and the bedsheets were of down (duck feathers, for those in Roxboro). Europa TOP Hotel- is located in a fairly quiet neighbourhood, approximately 1.5kms to the city centre. It is described as a first class but I wouldn't have rated it quite that high when I stayed there. It was clean and tidy enough but fairly basic. There is a restaurant and a bar in the hotel. The Berlin Mark Hotel is right in the heart of the city, only 5 minutes walk to Kurfurstendamm. Tour buses leave from the end of the street and the Hard Rock Cafe was only a few doors away.
Breakfast was included with the room cost and was a great selection of muesli, fruit, hot dishes and an assortment of bread. Even a chocolate on the pillow at night:-) Leave a Comment Theme: HotelAddress: Meinekestrabe 18-19, D-10719 Berlin

This is a fairly old motel which is run by a family. There are 40 reasonably modern rooms which are equipped with TV. (cable & satellite), private bathroom, telephone and soundproof windows. There is a breakfast room (breakfast was included in my rate). Cosy and friendly and very handy. Leave a Comment Theme: HotelAddress: Schillerstrasse 11aDirections: 2 mins walking from the Munich Main Train Station which is the main connection of all public transport. It is also within walking distance from the Oktoberfest and City Centre.
