Beside its great location at the beautiful Lake Constance (Bodensee) Friedrichshafen has a big history in aviation. Here in the town Mr. Zeppellin developed his famous flying object and shortly later his coworker Claude Dornier started to build airplanes which he designed.
Nowadays you will find many places in town remembering Friedrichshafens famous citizens. Two interesting locations are the Dornier museum at the Friedrichshafen Airport and the Zeppellin Museum in the town center.
After the exhausting time in the museum, you can have a walk on the promenade along the lake. There are many possibilities to stop for a drink or an ice cream. Enjoy!
