On the northern shore of Lake Konstanz, Friedrichshafen was the home of the Zeppelin, and is now home of the Zeppelin museum. The downtown seems relatively modern compared to other towns in the area, but still has a fair amount of charm. The waterfront is packed with restaurants.
Friedrichshafen claims to be the home of the Zeppelin (as does Konstanz). With that, the city has the Zeppelin Museum, which adults can tour for 7.5 Euros.
Friedrichshafen is centrally located on the north shore of Lake Konstanz. Ferries to Konstanz, Meersburg, Lindau, and Bregenz, Austria leave and depart all throughout the day.
