Crowne Plaza Heidelberg

The hotel is located right across the street from the train station, and is only about 5 minutes from the Alt Stadt. Breakfast was included in the price of the room. The service was good, and thought it was nice, i didn't think it was worth the 200 euro a night. I don't think it lives up to the 5 star rating.

Unique Quality: They had a nice pool and sauna that stayed open until midnight. The view from my room was looking out into the middle of the hotel. So you couldn't see anything going on out in the city.

This is simply the most extraodinary hotel I have been to! I had the chance (thanks to my job) to stay there three nights and luckily was that not more because I would not habe been able to leave it !
The room was great with a very comfortable bed, soft and thick pillow and blanket.. There was a great bathroom with hairdryer, shower and bath, larger mirror,... In the hall, a shoe cleaner... The breakfast room was also really nice with a combination of yellow/blue and wooden funitures and a aquarium with colorful fishes in the middle...Nice to eat in front of them! The breakfast buffet is very rich : all kinds of corn flakes, pastry, bread, pan cakes, croissants hot stuffs like eggs and bacon, etc... The place is also perfect : 2 minutes by foot from the end of the Hauptstrasse, the main shopping street, and 15 minutes by foot from the market square. The taxi station is also just behind the hotel, so it is really easy to go quickly to your destination. The Bismark platz (tram and bus station) is also 2 minutes away...

Unique Quality: The great things of the hotel are also its facilities : a wellness center with swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna, turkish bath (and possiblity to have solarium) and a fitness center. I loved the decoration on the walls, the "fresco's" with italian landscape...I spent there a very good time and I recommand to spend there at least one hour to get relaxed!

I've been there for business trips for many times. Looks like this hotel is preferable for Japaneese tourist - standart stay for them.

In this hotel I like sauna with big 25m swimming pool. Not only visitors of Crown Plaza can use it for free. Hotel has agreements with neibouring Europaesche Hof and Alt Heidelberg hotels. Even people from the sreet can enter for some fee (about 5 Euro, I am not sure).

Unique Quality: Nothing special (just standard good service).
Very good sauna with big (25m) swimming pool on the photo (it has not 2 levels, ;-) but mirror celling).

They have 232 luxuriously furbished rooms and suites for smokers & for non-smokers!

Every SUNDAY there is a nice BRUNCH in the Restaurant, cool after a late night....

There is also a beer and wine pub called "Gaudeamus" and to cap it all: an indoor swimming pool, sauna, solarium, steam-bath, whirlpool, diving pool, a poolbar and a fitness centre.

The best things to do / enjoy after a day of exploring Heidelberg: your feet will be grateful afterwards!

Unique Quality: another nice thing is the Lufthansa shuttle service transports to and from the Hotel and FRANKFURT AIRPORT.

All in all a place where you will feel pampered and well looked after....

They really do know about the needs of excited, tired or homesick guests!
